Description:Shrubs or small trees, 1-3(-6) m tall. Old branches dark gray; growing branches of current year ascending, reddish or orange-yellow, long. Filaments between disk lobes; petals straight, ascending, contacting each other, corolla cup-shaped.
Comments:The bark and leaves contain a large amount of tannins.
